Innovation Youth: Market Helper

Volunteer Position Description Innovation Assistance hosts their Solidarity Markets each first and third Monday of the month during the fall and winter months (Oct 2022-April 2023). We welcome volunteers for the whole day starting from 11:00 until 18:00. Volunteers can come at any point during the market day, though we ask for at least two hours of commitment. Our clientele and staff are bilingual, but proficiency is not required for volunteers. Tasks include: - Unloading produce and setting up the market at St-Jax Church (11:00). - Working in the kitchen to sort and clean produce. - Aiding clients through the market shopping line as "vendors". - Checking in clients and working the cash register with the aid of the market coordinators. - Clean-up and take-down at the market's end (5:00).
