| Volunteer Position Description |
SextEd is a program that provides sexual heath education by answering youth questions through text messaging. SextEd Response Team volunteers answer youth questions by researching and drafting comprehensive responses in a team. They also update and contribute to a database of saved text and online frequently asked questions.
SextEd volunteers have a flexible schedule based on their availability. Volunteers are expected to complete an orientation and devote 2-4 hours per week for at least 6 months. Majority of the shifts may be online due to COVID, but at times in-person shifts may be required. |

| Volunteer Position Requirements |
-Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS, sexuality, sexual health and healthy relationships
-Commitment to principles of harm reduction and anti-oppression
-Strong English writing skills
-Ability to work autonomously and in a team
-Experience researching and discussing issues related to sexual health is an asset
-Familiarity with youth-appropriate language and writing for accessibility is an asset
-Experience with Wordpress, Slack, or search engine optimization is an asset |
