Volunteer Position Description |
HAVI Friends volunteers are at the heart of the HAVI Friends program! As a volunteer, you will get paired with one of the neurodivergent individuals in our program. You will help them develop skills such as communication, behaviour, increased attention span, cooperation, and social and emotional awareness through fun and educational online and potentially in-person activities. |

Volunteer Position Requirements |
Responsibilities
• Attend bi-weekly volunteer meetings (includes monthly special needs training)
• Create lesson plans for neurodivergent individuals
• Mentor a HAVI Friend at least once a week (in-person or online)
• Participate and organize regular fundraising activities
Desired Qualities & Skills
• Organizational skills
• Willingness to learn
• Patience
• Creativity
• Empathy
• Experience working with children (is an asset but not required)
• Languages: English (required), French and Spanish (an asset)

• Minimum 4-6 months |
