Our establishment Chateau Ramezay is an historic site and museum of Montreal
The "volunteer guides" have the function of animating all kinds of activities with a historical flavor.
Volunteers can either guide school groups or receive regular visitors to the Château. The involvement of the guides who receive school visits is on weekdays, from September to June, with a peak of activity from March to June.
The guides who give tours to Museum visitors generally give one day of tours per month on weekends from September to the end of June. During the summer, they are required to give at least 3 or 4 tours from July 1 to September 31. These tours are generally given between 12:00 and 4:00 p.m.
We are looking for volunteers interested in sharing a love of history with students and visitors to our beautiful city. You don’t have to be a historian or even bilingual!
All you need is a love of learning and the desire to share your knowledge with others, as well as availability a few hours per week. If you also happen to be interested in the history of Quebec and of Montréal, you’d be an ideal candidate! We offer a detailed training program after which you will be teamed up with an experienced guide until you are comfortable with the ins and outs of guiding!
