LIVE Centre: CU Volunteer Crew

Volunteer Position Description Join us for a week of volunteering at a local community organization. Participants will take part in an orientation session on Monday morning, volunteer in the afternoons during the week, and celebrate/debrief together (lunch provided!) on Friday. Resilience Montreal - Volunteers will help prepare and serve meals and organize and distribute clothing/hygiene products, Santrapol Roulant - Meal deliveries done by foot, by bike, by bus, and by car across various neighborhoods surrounding Mount-Royal. Meal deliveries are not only an essential service but are also an opportunity to break social isolation among client-members, Saint-Antoine 50+ Community Centre - Volunteers will help with tasks such as: creating promotional materials; researching potential outings for seniors; finding musicians willing to donate their talents during special events; making friendly calls to isolated seniors; supporting the meal program by cutting, peeling, packaging, and serving food; and cleaning/organizing the centres stock and inventory. Welcome Hall Mission - Working as a team, you will sort and prepare food donations that will be given out at the Welcome Hall Market. The Market is a food bank offering its clients a free grocery “shopping” experience that promotes dignity and autonomy.
