Volunteer Position Description |
Volunteer tutors help students 16 and over prepare to write their high school equivalency exam through one-on-one teaching. Subjects include English language arts, social studies (American history), math, and science. Tutors must be proficient in at least one of these subjects and should be university students or young professionals, aged 18 or older. The curriculum is in English. Time commitment: 1 or 2 nights/week 5:30-8:00 pm. In-person at our offices in Snowdon. Program runs from September through June with time off for holiday periods. Kosher meals included. |
