Volunteer Position Description |
At the Native Women's Shelter of Montreal, we offer a safe, supportive space for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis women and children. Our services address immediate needs while fostering growth through culturally informed programs. With 24/7 support and a holistic approach that combines traditional healing with modern methods, we empower women and children to overcome challenges, embrace healing, and build the foundation for a positive future.
We are currently looking for volunteers to provide office support on an as-needed basis. In order to better serve our clients, our frontline staff needs volunteer support to cover the reception desk. Tasks included in this role are answering phones, answering the door, providing some support to clients for everyday needs.
Volunteer Shifts :
Support would be needed for specific dates/times, mostly occurring during regular business hours. Shifts would be 1-2 times per month.
Skills and Expertise :
If you have specific skills or experience that could benefit the shelter, we encourage you to reach out and let us know how you can contribute.
Commitment :
A minimum 6-month commitment is required to ensure stability and continuity for the people we serve.
