Volunteer Position Description |
Evenings or weekends. Helping children of schooling age with their homework or with appropriate learning activities. Communicating with childcare workers and mothers to discuss how the child is progressing, giving constructive feedback and noticing areas of concern if any are present.

Volunteer Position Requirements |
Ability to teach or help in specific school subjects from kindergarten to high school.
French and English required.
Knowing other languages is an asset.
Police background checks will be conducted by the organization for every volunteer applicant. |

The shelter's address will remain confidential for safety and security reasons, it will be given upon the first scheduled training.
As this is a shelter for women who have often experienced intimate partner violence from male perpetrators, only non-male identifying people will be accepted as volunteers for roles within the residence. |
