| Volunteer Position Description |
The ICU Bridge Program provides University students the opportunity to volunteer and shadow in 4 of Montreal's Intensive Care Unit (Montreal General, Jewish General, Royal Victoria, and the Montreal Children's Hospitals' ICUs). These volunteers help limit the mental health impact that the ICU has on staff, patients, and families through increased increased communication, heartfelt gesture and an innovative electronic ICU diary program provided by university volunteers. In addition, the experiences gained by our volunteers help shape our future healthcare practitioners! |

The ideal candidate is one who is
- Mature, responsible and committed
- Bilingual (English & Elementary French (at the minimum) )
- Flexible in terms of scheduling & hospital choice
- We accept students from any university
- Able to communicate with empathy
- Candidates should commit to one 4 hour shift a week for a minium of one complete semester (4 months) |
